| Koloi y Eliya | ||||
|
This song is in the Tswana language, which is spoken in Botswana and Northern Cape, South Africa. Le nna ke a rata, go bona Manyeloi, thabeng ya Sioni, le ba halaledi. Hae duma ya tsamaya, koloi ya Eliya. 'I also like to see the angels on Mount Zion, with all the blessed people. When it roars it moves like Elijah's car.' From Polokwane, South Africa arr. Matlakala Bopape, via Northern Harmony (Thanks to Jill Green for this info)
We have just noticed that we are singing the bass slightly differently than on these recordings. The A part starts differently at the beginning of the song. We have been using this different beginning all the way through. We will be trying out the version on these recordings when we next practice Koloi. |
